How is Caviyo different from the reminders my booking system already sends?

Booking systems send template notifications — "Your appointment is tomorrow at 2pm." That's it. Caviyo actually communicates with your customers. It responds to their questions, handles running-late notifications, follows up with no-shows, fills empty slots, and re-engages regulars. It's the difference between a notification and an employee.

Will my customers know they're talking to AI?

Caviyo is trained to communicate in a natural, friendly tone that matches how a barber would text. Most customers won't notice the difference. It uses your shop name and signs off naturally.

What if it says something wrong to a customer?

Caviyo only knows what you tell it — your services, prices, hours, and booking link. It can't make up information. If it receives a message it doesn't understand, it tells the customer it'll get back to them and alerts you via SMS so you can handle it yourself.

Can I turn it off or pause it?

Yes. Text "pause" to your assistant anytime and it stops. Text "resume" and it's back. You can also pause your subscription if you're going on holiday — we'll hold your number for a reduced fee.

What booking systems do you support?

We currently support Square and Fresha. More integrations are coming. If you use a different system, let us know — we're adding new ones based on demand.

Does Caviyo change my appointments or calendar?

No. Caviyo is read-only. It reads your booking calendar to know what's happening, but it never creates, edits, or deletes appointments. Your booking system stays exactly as it is.

What if a customer wants to book or cancel via text?

Caviyo sends them your booking link so they can book or cancel through your booking system directly. It handles the conversation, your booking system handles the calendar.

Do I need to install an app?

No. Everything runs via SMS. You text your assistant, your assistant texts your customers. You log into the web portal to manage your account, check reports, and update your plan — but day-to-day, it's all SMS.

How much does it cost?

Is there a contract?

No contracts. No lock-in. Month-to-month. Cancel anytime from your dashboard.

Can I try it before I pay?

Yes. Every plan comes with a free 30-day trial. No credit card required. You get the full system — same features, same number, same AI assistant. If you love it, pick a plan. If not, walk away.

What happens to my number if I cancel?

We hold your number for 7 days after cancellation in case you change your mind. After that, it's released. If you come back within 90 days, your data is still there — you just need a new number.

Can I earn money by referring other barbers?

Yes. Every account gets a referral link. When another barber signs up through your link, you earn a recurring commission every month they stay subscribed. Check your dashboard for your link and stats.

Is my customers' data safe?

Yes. We take privacy seriously. Customer data is stored securely, encrypted, and never shared with anyone. We comply with Australian Privacy Act requirements. Read our privacy policy.
